- Amazing, isn't it? Fact is that Autoconfig existed from start and it
- actually *works*! I can see why the concept may be a little hard for
- a Wintel user to grasp. PNP is yet another kludgy Windows add on
- which works...sometimes, kinda like everything else in Windows.
- Point is, you better have a huge knowledge of hardware and software
- oddities when you set up or expand a Wintel box.

- >You're PC illiterate.
-
- Well, these are Amiga groups. Mike "Tempest" may be a PC illiterate,
- but he knows what's good for him and he's not an Amiga illiterate
- like you. He belongs here in the Amiga groups whether we like it or
- not. You certainly don't.
-
- Most of what you know about Amigas you learned from your pathetic
- errors in c.s.a.advocacy, not from experience. You obviously still
- believe that 640x400 is the max NI resolution on a stock Amiga, and
- you still think that because *you* don't want to use a 72Hz 800x600
- interlaced display then no one else can be happy with it.

- Yeah. And there I was thinking that "Plug'n'Play" is a feature for
- people who *don't* know what they are doing. Silly me.
-
- >or B) I've actually -done- what I'm describing. Maybe both...
-
- So how would you explain your appearance here? Hmm...perhaps either
- a) you're a usenet kook or b) you're a confused geek. Maybe both...
-
- >Putting up with crap is why I got sick of the Amiga.
-
- That sounds like the exact reason I will always be sick of the PC.
- The difference is that while you admittedly used Amigas long time ago
- and have a limited real world knowledge about the current Amiga
- state, many current Amiga owners are forced to work with "modern"
- Wintels today, every day.
-
- Most of us know the pile of crap you claim is better than Amiga, we
- still love to get back to our Amigas. Oh yes, the PC hardware is so
- great, the resolution is higher, there's more memory, millions of
- pretty colors, higher MHz, tons of software with tons of features,
- and lower prices.... Too bad Win95 can't take advantage of the
- hardware and multitasks worse than my brother's 2MB A1200.
-

-
- I guess you are a filthy liar too eh? Jesus, you sound as if you're
- in some kind of anti-Amiga denial state..
-
- >too expensive.
-
- Yeah, so are SGIs. I bet you also have a cheap all-in-one stereo
- rack and a Skoda. Have you ever wondered why everybody isn't driving
- the same car? Or why some people pay thousands of dollars for a
- class A amplifier? That must be true mysteries to you.
